Join us for our summer mission trip to Helena-West Helena, Arkansas! Estimated cost is $600 per person and includes roundtrip airfare, ground transportation, B&B Lodging, program expenses, and most meals for a whole week. Monday-Thursday, volunteers will serve in one of the following locations. In the questions below, please rank your top 3 areas you are interested in volunteering in.
- Swim Instructor: help needed for all age and ability levels. As long as you can swim and are comfortable in the water, there is a place for you as a swim instructor. There are groups that work on gettting comfortable in the water, all the way through groups that are working on perfecting strokes.
- Group Leader: Volunteering as a group leader involves working with one small group of children (6-12 year olds) throughout the week. You would walk with them to and from each of their camp rotations, assist your campers with rotations, and building relationships with your group members.
- Music Rotation Leader: Volunteering in the Music Rotation involves singing and dancing to "vbs type" songs.
- Crafts Rotation Leader: volunteering in the crafts rotation involves leading each group in completing their daily craft. Craft instructions and materials will be provided to the leaders.
- Bible Story Rotation Leader: Volunteering in the Bible Story Rotation involves teaching the Bible Story using the provided curriculum each day to the groups as they come to your rotation. (approx. 6 times each day)
- Recreation Rotation Leader: Volunteering in the Recreation Rotation involves leading outdoor games and sports.
- Preschool Camp: Volunteering with preschool involves working with 3 to 5 year olds, going through Bible story, crafts, play time, and assisting with Preschool swim lessons once each day.
- Construction: Volunteer to do varying construction work from painting to building/repairs.
